Will my site show up on Google?

I set up everything Google needs to find and index your site: proper page titles, meta descriptions, clean URLs, sitemap, and more. This does NOT guarantee first-page rankings. How well you rank depends on your content, competition, and ongoing SEO work. I build a solid foundation. Also worth noting: SEO works best with multiple pages. Each page can target different keywords. A single-page site has limited SEO potential.

Should I get a multi-page site or a one-pager?

Multi-page sites are better for SEO and work well if you have distinct services, lots of content, or want to rank for multiple keywords. Search engines have more to index, which can improve your visibility. One-pagers are great for simple businesses, personal brands, or when you need something professional up fast. Can I update the site myself after launch?

Grow and Flourish tiers: Yes! You'll have a content management system (CMS) that lets you edit text, swap images, and add blog posts — no coding required. I'll walk you through it before handoff. Launch tier: Updates require a developer. You can hire me for changes (hourly or care plan), or take your code to any developer you choose.

What if I want to add features later?

Absolutely. Your site is built with clean, scalable code specifically so it can grow with you. After launch, we can quote add-ons — extra pages, a blog, contact forms, whatever you need — as a separate project. You're never locked in, and you're never starting from scratch.

What's the difference between a design revision and a content review?

Accepted Answer

Content review = Fixing typos, spelling errors, or incorrect information in the content YOU provided. One round is included before launch. Design revision = Changing colors, fonts, layout, section order, image placement — anything visual. The number of rounds depends on your tier (Launch: 0, Grow: 1, Flourish: 2). Quick rule: If it's about what the words say → content review. If it's about how it looks → design revision.

Why do you require 100% payment upfront?

Three reasons: Commitment — when you're fully invested, you show up. Content gets delivered on time, feedback is focused, and projects stay on track. Speed — no waiting on deposits or chasing payments mid-project. I start working for you immediately. Clarity — no awkward money conversations once we're in the work. We're partners focused on the outcome, not the invoice. This isn't standard — but it works. My clients appreciate the clarity, and projects finish faster because of it.

What happens if I miss a deadline?

Life happens. Here's how it works: Content deadline (5-7 days after kickoff) — if you need more time, just let me know. We'll adjust. 14+ days late — project gets marked as paused, and I'll check in. 30+ days paused — a $100 restart fee applies to get back on the schedule. 60+ days no contact — project is considered abandoned. No refunds, but you keep any work completed. The goal isn't to penalize you — it's to keep projects moving so you get your site launched.

Do I need to have my content ready before we start?

Not before we talk — but yes, before I build. During our kickoff call, we'll review what content you have and identify any gaps. Then you'll have 5-7 business days to get everything to me (7-10 days for Flourish). No content = no build. This protects both of us from endless delays.

How long does it take?

2-5 weeks depending on your package: Launch takes 2 weeks, Grow takes 3 weeks, and Flourish takes 5 weeks. These timelines start once you provide content. Delays in feedback push back your launch date.

What if something breaks?

Support is available either hourly ($75/hr) or as a monthly retainer ($125/mo). Retainer clients get priority response within 24-48 hours. Hourly requests are handled as my schedule allows, typically within a few business days. Support is not included in any package — it's a separate service.

Question 11

Can I take my code somewhere else after the project?

Yes. 100%. At handoff, you receive: complete copy of your website code, documentation of how it's built, and full rights to use, modify, or hand off to another developer. You're never locked into working with me. The code is yours.

Do I need a blog?

Accepted Answer

Only if you'll actually write posts. A blog helps with SEO and engagement, but an empty blog looks worse than no blog. If you can commit to posting at least monthly, it's worth it. If not, skip it for now. You can always add it later.

Question 13

Do you offer nonprofit discounts?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Registered 501(c)(3) organizations receive a community rate. Just check the nonprofit box on the contact form and have your determination letter ready. I'll verify status before we begin.

Are there ongoing software costs?

The tools I use are free: Vercel hosting (free tier covers most small business sites), Vercel Analytics (basic traffic stats, included), and Google Analytics (free). You'd only pay for optional extras like a custom domain (~$15/year) or a monthly maintenance retainer.
